Jane Richmond's Elizabeth

You'd think that being around yarn all the time, I'd be knitting all the time. Mais non. It's kind of like The Rime of the Ancient Mariner says, "... Water, water, every where, Nor any drop to drink".

Jane Richmond's Elizabeth

I've been dyeing and skeining my heart out in preparation for a really big wholesale order. However, I did recently find the time to knit Jane Richmond's Elizabeth during a rare moment of peace.

A good choice it turns out. This was a very quick knit. I used RainCityKnits' Superwash Bulky in Heliotrope and it took me just a few hours to complete.

It's super versatile and can be worn brimmed or non. I find that I look silly with a brim so I prefer it au naturel. I've nicknamed the latter as "Gastown" style: wearing a slouchy toque with the back sticking out at a 45 degree angle. At first I laughed at my contemporaries for this silliness, now I've joined them.

Unbrimmed - in "Gastown" style.

How about you? Do you prefer to wear toques brimmed or unbrimmed?
