At RainCityKnits, we're always excited when we get the opportunity to work with fresh, modern knitwear designers. One of our most recent collaborations is with the talented Kate Atherley, who has designed the uber-fun Graffiti Sock pattern (using my favourite colourway: Graffiti, of course!). Now who wouldn't want a flash of these puppies popping out above their favourite stylin' shoes?
Speaking of sock patterns, it just so happens that the first pair of socks that I ever knit was from a Kate Atherley pattern. There is just something about her classic designs that lends themselves well to fun, bright colours. Check out my first-ever sock:
Sure my technical skills aren't the greatest, but cut a gal some slack. It was my first sock after all!
That's quite enough about me! Keen on making a pair of Graffiti Socks for yourself? Our Toronto friends are in luck. The pattern was designed exclusively for Lettuce Knit in Toronto, and they are currently selling the kits like hot cakes. Krista will also be in Toronto for the 16th annual DKC Knitter's Frolic on April 27, so our Toronto friends will be able to buy the kits directly from the Queen of RainCityKnits herself.
For those of us who aren't able to get to Toronto, please inquire with Lettuce Knit directly about how you can get your hands on this fun kit!
