I remember knitting up a pair of the Lumberjack Socks by Tin Can Knits years ago in a far away land and thinking "Boy these Canadian people sure make cool knitting patterns." My love of Tin Can Knits began at that moment.
So when Fiona and Amanda at Knit Social asked us to collaborate with Tin Can Knits on a project for Knit City 2015, I was giddy. Not only did this mean working with hometown heroes (yay Vancouver!), I knew they would design something beautiful in RainCityKnits yarn.
The end result is Spotlight, an arrow yoke sweater featuring our crazy bright colours in that signature Tin Can Knits style. This pattern is available in sizes ranging from 0-6 months to 4 XL. Bodhi is wearing size 1-2 years and Sarah is wearing Size Small.
This pullover is knit from the bottom up. Sleeves and body are worked separately in the round, then joined. The yoke is worked last.
Released at Knit City 2015, this sweater got some serious attention. Check out the Global News piece here about Knit City featuring Fiona and Amanda.
